Description:

Hamlin's Marine is looking for a full time and a seasonal driver/yard laborer at our Hampden location who can effectively multi-task in fast paced boat yard.  

Duties include:

While working as a driver, you will primarily pick up and deliver boats to customers and to different Hamlin's locations.

While working in the yard, you will primarily assist with the safe and efficient moving of trailers and boats in and out of the yard, storage buildings, service bays, and customer launches in & out of the water. You will assist with checking in new boats, motors, and trailers as they are delivered, completing forms that detail the status and condition of the new units, and prep trailers for sale.  You will assist in other various yard based tasks that may come up as well.

Position requires occasional lifting up to 50 lbs. Position may be required to work across a wide variety of Maine weather conditions.

Required:

• Valid Driver's License
• Authorized to work in the US
• Trailer driving experience
• Strong work ethic and attention to detail
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and check-in/check-out sheets
• Must have legible handwriting
• Ability to speak effectively and in a manner that displays professionalism with customers
• Ability to work independently & with a team
• Ability to take direction

Preferred:

• Experience in a marine environment with vessel movement
• Tractor and yard equipment experience
• Basic mechanical hand tools & preventive maintenance

Pay/Benefits:

$17 to $21 Hourly
